Spirit of the American West

Follow in the pioneer spirit of the wild frontier with a guided tour of the American West. Your escorted tour through Colorado, South Dakota, and Wyoming’s American West starts in the “Mile High City” of Denver to see its historic sites at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Buffalo Bill’s Grave & Museum. Head north to spectacular Rocky Mountain National Park to explore the alpine vistas from Trail Ridge Road over the Continental Divide. Stay overnight in the old-world charm of Estes Park’s Stanley Hotel—inspiration for Stephen King’s thriller, The Shining. Continue to the black hills of South Dakota to see the spectacular monument to four U.S. presidents, carved into historic Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

You’ll be introduced to the rich history of Native American tribes, including the Lakota people, as you travel through the Badlands of South Dakota to Custer State Park, and the Chief Crazy Horse Memorial. Visit the Wild West town of Deadwood—known as a lawless frontier town of the legendary Gold Rush days. Your escorted vacation through the American West explores South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado—where legends were made in fur trading, cattle ranching, cowboys, rodeos, railroads, and magnificent wildlife of the western plains and mountain peaks of the United States.
